How can we make your holiday easier ?

Having travelled with 4 kids of our own, we understand the things that can make your holiday easier.  We want Wilber to be a place where families can come and chill out and have a GREAT time.

DE-STRESS

Shopping Service:  I well remember having to stop and shop on our way to the beach, trying to pack it all in the car around bodies and luggage, wondering if the milk was cold enough and the bread was still square then having to lug it all in at the other end  ..not a nice thought!!  If you email me the list , your groceries will be waiting in the fridge on arrival. There are 2 basic grocery stores in town and by buying locally you are also supporting our community. . too easy

Meals on arrival: No doubt you've had to do the Golden Arches along the way and you know the kids are going to want to get out of the car and run around like mad when you get here, so what could be easier than arriving at the farm and walking in to a fresh home-prepared meal?  Just open a nice bottle of wine, sit on the verandah and ENJOY . . .it's your holiday too !!

LASAGNE AND SALAD  OR  BEEF STROGANOFF AND RICE

Babysitting: If you have a local function or just want to go out one night I am able to sit with WELL BEHAVED healthy children for a maximum of 3 hours. This needs to be arranged in advance and if I am unable to do it I will endeavour to put you in touch with a reputable trustworthy local babysitter.

Transport: Planning a night out with a few refreshments? The Gulargambone Taxi service ceased to operate in about 1901 so catching a cab home is out of the question.  Just let us know if you need transport to or from town.

Internet: If you need to check email you can access the web at the office.

We had a great time & relaxing holiday at Wilber. we still talk about our stay until now. Having shared the good time with our friends was also a bonus. The children didn't want to leave. Thank you for taking us around the sheep; Peter had the time of his life on the motorbike. Thanks also for taking us to do night spotting. We loved to sit under the stars, around the fire toasting our marshmallows. We caught and cooked some yabbies. We loved the cows scattered on the road, the lambs were so cute and the eggs so fresh. Thanks heaps for the wonderful few days that we had staying at your beautiful property. I sure miss those wide open plains and gentle breezes that you turned on for us! Alex had a wonderful time and it opened his eyes to something new. He’d never experienced that kind of space before and he loved it. Chasing him on the motorbike is what he mostly talks about and the sheep jumping in the yards that day we came over to see the marking. I want to get out that way again and hope to see you when you get to Forster if we are in the area. I hope that the little note I left helps with future tenants. You have a great little house there and very comfortable for disabled people. Plenty of room to turn the chair inside! They miss out on a lot of these things in life so I try to give Alex as much in the way of new experiences as I can. We spent the last few days in Sydney , missing the bush!     Dave  (stayed in cottage)

Thankyou for a most wonderful time. Everything about Wilber is lovely and brings back fond memories of when I was young. It was great to share this with our children. I know they loved the animals, collecting eggs, riding the bike and playing in the mud. We will be sure to pass our recommendation on to friends. Kathryn and James - Sydney

We have all had a great time at Wilber on the occasion of our daughters wedding. Family and friends  from 4 states have either visited or stayed, loving the environs of the farmhouse. Kids found a bike or two to their liking and the chooks were visited frequently. Our gatherings around the fireplace, dining table and sunny breakfasts, were full of fun and are now cherished family memories. We saw two Brolgas at the dam plus lots of other waterbirds - really great to go there!
